TNMC offers comprehensive athlete healthcare by integrating Eastern & Western medicines. We assist athletes in achieving their goals by aiding recovery, decreasing healing time, preventing injuries, and optimizing health. We work together to help athletes in natural performance enhancement.

Athlete care at TNMC assesses and treats all aspects of an athlete's health including nutrition, joint health, muscle strength, inflammatory state, endocrine function, digestive health, and injury healing. Our one-on-one approach starts with a solid interview and physical examination. After a thorough assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be designed for each patient.

Lindsey Pearson, NMD and Jeremy Breach, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. provide integrated athlete healthcare taking the best of Eastern and Western Medicines to provide patients with choices and top notch care here in Tucson. They work with amateur, professional, and Olympic athletes.

Dr. Pearson specializes in preventive sports medicine, working closely with athletes to monitor physiologic function as well as injury prevention and general health care. He utilizes conventional laboratory testing for baseline and monitoring of athletes' nutritional, inflammatory, endocrine (hormone), and metabolic markers. Dr. Pearson is trained in utlilizing intravenous (IV) therapy to assist athletes with injury prevention and treatment using electrolytes, antioxidants, vitamins, and minterals. IV therapies are formulated for pre- or post-performance support.

Jeremy Breach, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., is an IronMan. He understands what it takes to be an elite endurance athlete. As an Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist, he is one of the top up and coming practitioners in his profession. He works closely with athletes using Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture, Chinese herbs, cupping, Tui Na, and Chinese diet therapy. His Chinese Medicine approach to healthcare was learned at this Country's top Chinese Medicine School, the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in Seattle, Washington. During his intensive master's level education and clinical training, Jeremy trained with some of the top Chinese Medicine practitioners in the country. Upon graduating, Jeremy presented his thesis on Natural Performance Enhancement: The Application of Chinese Medicine to Optimize Performance in Endurance Sport.

Working together, Dr. Pearson and Jeremy Breach help patients become pain free, reduce risk factors for morbidity and mortality, reduce the need for pharmaceuticals such as narcotics for pain, statin drugs for high cholesterol, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory medications, and anti-depressants. They do this by working to identify and treat the cause of disease by utilizing Eastern medical philosophy, Chinese medical diagnosis, acupuncture and herbs, as well as Western modern clinical laboratory diagnosis and imaging such as X-ray, MRI, and CT scanning, heavy metal testing, metabolic and energy production assessment, and neuroendocrine testing.

Dr. Pearson and Jeremy Breach work every day to keep up on current research, new breakthroughs in sports injury treatment in Eastern and Western modalities, and are active in continuing education to provide their patients with the most up to date therapies and information.
